Pant comes down and hammers Wagner straight down the ground past mid-off for a four. The left-hander gets a thick inside edge on to the pads off the last ball.

Left-arm pacers from both ends as Trent Boult comes into the attack. Rahane plays a loose shot as he looks to slash the wide delivery over point but is beaten by the extra bounce.

He pulls the next ball to deep square leg for a single and Pant keeps strike with one from the last ball.

Wagner keeps it full to Pant, who inside edges it on to his pads and then blocks out the next.

Pant showing good defence as he keeps out Wagner's full deliveries, waiting for the right opportunity to attack.

Rahane playing a few loose shots. This time he flashes at the wide delivery from Boult and is beaten. He clips the next ball through square leg where Wagner makes a good sliding stop to keep it down to two runs.

In the next over, Pant takes the chance as he comes down and looks to smash Wagner but gets a thick outside edge which flies past the slips for a four to take India past the 100-run mark.

Pant attempts a wild slog off the next ball and is beaten all ends up. He goes back to defend from the crease but plays and misses as Wagner gets the ball to move away late.
