Left-arm pacer Trent Boult comes into the attack in place of Santner. He starts with a short ball which Rizwan pulls for a boundary through square leg.

Boult then bowls a wide down the leg side as Rizwan misses the glance, followed by four dots in a row as pacer makes a good comeback after getting hit for a four off the first ball.

Tight bowling from New Zealand in the Powerplay as they look to keep things tight and build some pressure.

Rizwan releases the pressure as he helps the leg side delivery from Southee through fine leg for a four. He pulls the next ball but this time for just a single to fine leg.

Babar hits the last ball through midwicket for a couple of runs as Southee goes for eight runs in the fourth over.

Boult gives some width as Rizwan guides it behind point for a four before he is hit on the pads next ball but is saved by the inside edge.

He pulls Boult's fourth ball for a single and Babar gets one off the last ball.

Southee makes the breakthrough with the key wicket of Pakistan captain Babar, who is bowled for nine.

The slower ball from Southee beats Babar all ends up as he looks to heave it over the leg side but misses and is bowled.

Southee picks 100th wicket in T20 Internationals as New Zealand make the breakthrough in the sixth over.

Fakhar Zaman gets off the mark with a single to mid-off and Rizwan pulls the next for another run.

Zaman looks to hit Southee through the off-side but is beaten and is unable to get a run off the last two balls, as just two runs come from the over.

Pakistan reduced to 30/1 in six overs.
