India have never won a Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Out of six Tests played against England at this venue, India have lost six, while one ended in a draw.

Interestingly, India suffered innings defeats in three out of the six Tests.

In their last Test at this venue in 2018, India suffered a narrow 31-run defeat after they failed to chase down 194 in the fourth innings.
