India 107-5 (31 ovs) vs England | Scorecard

With fast bowlers doing the damage in overcast conditions, England make a surprise decision to bring in left-arm spinner Jack Leach to bowl the 29th over.

Pant hits the first ball into the covers where the fielder misfields to concede a couple of runs, which brings India's 100, in the 29th over.

Pant clips the third ball for a single before Ravindra Jadeja comes down the track and launches the last ball back over the bowler's head for a four to get off the mark.

Pacer Broad is back into the attack. Pant defends the first two balls before he comes down the track but gets the inside edge for a single on the leg side.

Jadeja is stuck on the crease as he looks to defend with the ball striking the pads but the leg before shout is turned down. He keeps strike with a single from the last ball of the over.

Leach is taken off after bowling just one over as Anderson comes back into the attack.

It has gone quite dark at Edgbaston as Anderson keeps it full and on the stumps to Jadeja, who inside edges the first ball, before he blocks the next few.
