Pant rocks back and whips Leach with the spin through midwicket for a boundary to race to his fifty in some style, from just 51 balls.

Another important knock from Pant to rescue India from trouble but the job is only half done and he will be keen to carry on and complete a century.

The third ball is pushed towards point but Stokes bowls another no-ball to give India another extra run.

Another leave from Jadeja followed by a push towards point and he rocks back to block the fifth into the covers.

The last ball is short as Jadeja sways out of the way to end the second session.

At the tea break, India have recovered to 174/5 in 44 overs, with Pant stroking his way to 53 from 42 balls, while Jadeja has made 32 from 65 balls.

The duo have led India's superb fightback, putting on 76 runs for the sixth wicket.

Overall, India scored 121 runs in 23.5 overs for three wickets at a run rate of more than five in the post-lunch session.
