Pujara to open for India; Ashwin dropped

England captain Ben Stokes has won the toss and elected to bowl against India in the rescheduled fifth Test match in Birmingham on Friday.

Captain Jasprit Bumrah has gone in with a four-man pace attack including himself, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur.

Ravindra Jadeja has got the nod as the lone spinner ahead of Ravichandran Ashwin.

Cheteshwar Pujara will open the innings with Shubman Gill, while Hanuma Vihari and Shreyas Iyer also find a place in the middle order.

Meanwhile, England have brought in Sam Billings as the wicketkeeper with Ben Foakes ruled out due to fitness issues, while James Anderson comes back into the playing XI.
