India 69-3 (23 ovs) vs England | Scorecard

Play resumes under bright sunshine at Edgbaston as Virat Kohli and Hanuma Vihari walk out to bat and Matthew Potts resuming with the ball.

Kohli nearly loses his wicket first ball after the resumption. He pushes at the length ball from Potts but gets the inside edge which narrowly misses the stumps and goes fine on the leg side for a four.

Kohli realises his mistake as he leaves the next ball and does the same to the fourth ball, followed by a block and a leave to end the first over of the session.

Anderson from the other end. Vihari pushes the second ball into the covers for a single and Kohli taps the incoming delivery on the off-side for another run.

Anderson bowls the wide outswinger as Vihari leaves easily by playing well inside the line and is struck high on the pads as this time the ball comes in.

Vihari guides the wide delivery past the gully region as Kohli pushes him for the third run.

In the next over, Vihari looks to clip Potts through the leg side but gets a thick outside edge past the slips for a couple of runs.

The next ball is fuller and swings in sharply as Vihari is struck plumb in front as Kohli advises him not to take the review.

Vihari walks back for 20 with India in trouble on 64/3 in the 23rd over.

Rishabh Pant walks in at No 5 ahead of Shreyas Iyer. He pushes the first ball into the covers and wants a quick single but Kohli sends him back.

He gets a thick inside edge off the next ball back on to his pads playing casually away from his body.

Pant clips the fourth ball to deep square leg for a single to get off the mark.

The last ball is on the pads as Kohli glances it fine on the leg side for a four.
