NZ 2-0 (2 ovs) vs India 219 | Scorecard

Devon Conway and Finn Allen are the two openers for New Zealand, while Deepak Chahar opens the bowling for the Indians, who need to strike a few early wickets with the new ball.

The first ball is on the stumps as Allen clips it square on the leg side for two runs to get off the mark.

He offers no shot to the next two balls pitched away from the stumps before driving the fourth ball on the off-side and keeps out the last two balls.

Arshdeep Singh from the other end. Left-hander Conway leaves the first ball which swings away sharply before the next one shapes to come in but swings away late as the batter leaves and wicketkeeper Pant with a desperate dive to his right to stop it.

The third ball is pitched on the right line and length as Conway is forced to play at it, only to see the ball move away sharply and go past the edge.

Conway defends the fourth ball on the off-side and he inside edges the fifth ball back on to his pads. Indians initially appealed but nothing from the umpire.

The last ball is full and shapes away as Conway gets a leading edge trying to flick it away.

A good start from Arshdeep as he begins his spell with a maiden over.
