DC 59-3 (8 Ovs) vs GT | Scorecard

Azmatullah resumes his spell, continuing to apply pressure on the DC batters. The first delivery is pushed back to the bowler for no run, showcasing Azmatullah's accuracy and control.

The next ball is driven straight to the fielder at cover, denying the batsman any chance of scoring. Azmatullah maintains the pressure with another dot ball as the batter mistimes his shot.

However, DC gets a much-needed breakthrough as a flat hit from the batters sails down the ground for a boundary, providing a moment of relief for the team.

The following delivery sees an attempted flick from the batsman, resulting in a leg bye being called as the ball deflects off the pad for a single.

Unfortunately for DC, Pant fails to capitalise on the opportunity, pulling the ball straight to midwicket for no run. Only 5 runs come off the over, leaving DC at 49-3 after 7 overs, with the need to stabilise their innings and rebuild their momentum.

Rashid Khan is introduced into the attack, aiming to apply further pressure on the DC batsmen. Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant begin cautiously, each picking up a single to rotate the strike.

Rashid immediately asserts his dominance, bowling two dot balls to keep the batsmen in check. However, Axar Patel seizes the opportunity on the fifth delivery, picking the length early and launching it into the stands for a massive six, injecting some much-needed momentum into DC's innings.
Undeterred by the dots, Axar continues to assert himself, cutting the next delivery towards deep cover for a couple of runs, effectively capitalising on the loose delivery.

With 10 runs plundered from Rashid's over, DC's total climbs to 59-3 after 8 overs, providing a glimmer of hope as they look to rebuild their innings and set a competitive total.
