GT 24-1 (2 Ovs) vs DC 224-4 | Scorecard

As Saha and Shubman Gill prepare to take guard, Khaleel Ahmed readies himself to open the bowling attack for DC.

It seems Rasikh Salam has replaced Prithvi Shaw as DC's Impact Sub, setting the stage for an intriguing battle between bat and ball.

In the opening over of GT's chase, Saha takes strike against Khaleel Ahmed. With confidence, Saha unleashes a powerful shot through the covers, finding the gap perfectly and sending the ball racing to the boundary for four runs, signaling GT's intent early in the innings.

Khaleel responds with a low full toss, which Saha calmly defends, showing his composure at the crease. However, Saha misses his attempted drive on the next delivery, narrowly avoiding an edge through to the wicketkeeper. Despite the miss, Pant does well to stretch and collect the ball, although it's deemed a wide.

Taking advantage of the extra delivery, Saha nudges a low full toss to extra cover for a single, rotating the strike and keeping the scoreboard ticking.

Shubman Gill, now on strike, gets off the mark with a single, finding the gap and pushing the ball into the outfield.

Saha then guides the ball towards deep backward point for another single, displaying his ability to find the gaps in the field.

Gill concludes the over with a single of his own, as 9 runs are scored from Khaleel's opening over, putting GT at 9-0 after the first over of their innings. With a solid start, GT looks to build momentum and chase down the target set by DC.

Anrich Nortje takes up the ball from the other end, ready to challenge the GT batsmen. Shubman Gill, eager to assert himself, welcomes Nortje with a boundary, displaying his intent early on.

However, Gill's aggression leads to his downfall as he attempts to flick the next delivery towards the off side but only manages to slice it to mid-off. Axar Patel, positioned perfectly, takes a sharp catch, back-pedaling and grabbing the ball with a reverse cup over his head, sending Gill back to the pavilion for 6 off 5 balls, a significant breakthrough for DC.

Sudharsan, GT's Impact Sub, strides to the crease, replacing Warrier. He wastes no time in making his presence felt, announcing himself with a six, albeit just clearing Kuldeep's hand.

Following the maximum, Sudharsan calmly collects a single, showcasing his ability to rotate the strike and keep the momentum going for GT.
Meanwhile, Saha, the experienced campaigner, ends the over with a boundary, adding further pressure on the DC bowlers.

With 15 runs and a wicket coming off the over, GT's total climbs to 24-1 after 2 overs.
