But the news from the middle is it was raining heavily an hour ago in Jaipur -- the good news is covers came off some time back.

MS Dhoni has won the toss and will be bowling first. Dhoni reckons with the rain around, its better to have a target in front of them.

19:16   IPL: Warner's century helps Delhi thump Deccan
- Scorecard

Delhi 193-1 (16.4 ovs) vs Deccan 187-4

Five runs needed from four overs for victory.

Ojha defends the next two balls before finishing off the match. He lofts the first ball over mid-off for a boundary and then finishes off the game in exquisite style as he hits it back over the bowler's head for a six.

Delhi Daredevils win the match by nine wickets with 20 balls remaining.

In the end, it proved to be an easy chase for Delhi as the top order came to the party. Sehwag perished early after scoring just four but that was the only positive moment for Deccan's bowlers.

Warner and Ojha dominated the Deccan bowlers with considerable ease, putting on 189 runs from 16.2 overs for the second wicket to take their team to victory.

Warner finished unbeaten on a sparkling innings of 109 from 54 balls, with the help of 10 fours and seven sixes. Ojha blossomed after a sedate start to hammer 64 from 46 balls, with two fours and five sixes.

With his convincing victory, Delhi have jumped to the top of standings with 18 points from 12 games. Deccan's poor run in IPL 5 continues as they lose their 10th match in the tournament out of 13.

Ojha then steers it past the point fielder for two runs to the thirdman region.

Gony decides to test Warner with bouncers. The left-hander lets the first ball go to the wicketkeeper before he mishits the second ball for two runs to midwicket.

But he gets it off the middle from the final attempt as he pulls it for a huge six over midwicket to end the over.

Ojha defends the first ball back to the bowler and gets a single from the next ball. Dhawan then bowls a wide down the leg side before Warner takes one from the next ball.

Ojha now gets into the act as he slams Dhawan for back to back sixes down the ground to end his second over.

Sudhindra beats Ojha with the first ball as it moves away slightly from the right-hander. Ojha then clips the next ball to the square leg region to get two runs and takes a single from the next ball.

Warner then whips Sudhindra over the square leg fence for a six and defends the next ball. Umpire Simon Taufel calls it over and signals change of ends before he is told by the third umpire that there is still a ball to go and the bowler is called back to end the over.

Warner makes most of the final ball. He smashes a short ball over the cover region for a boundary to race to 28 from 15 balls.

- Scorecard

Delhi 29-1 (3 ovs) vs Deccan 187-4

Dhawan is off after just one over where he took the wicket of Sehwag, but conceded 16 runs too. Pacer MS Gony replaces Dhawan.

Warner has a close shave off the second ball. The left-hander chips it over mid-on where it just about goes above Sangakkara at mid-on, who leaps high but fails to catch it and it carries over for a boundary.

Warner then gets a thick outside edge off the next ball which flies through the vacant gully region for a single to thirdman.

Pacer TP Sudhindra to bowl the second over. Naman Ojha defends the first ball before taking a single from the next ball.

Sudhindra then oversteps and the point fielder misfields too to gift away four runs. But Warner cannot do much with the free hit as the pacer bowls a good yorker on the stumps and he can only defend it.

Eight runs from that over as Delhi reach 23 after two overs.
17:55   IPL: Dhawan strikes, Sehwag out for 4
- Scorecard

Delhi 16-1 (1 over) vs Deccan 187-4

Dhawan, who opened the batting and smashed 84 from 49 balls, will open the bowling too with his part-time off-spin bowling.

A big gamble to bowl a part-time spinner against the likes of Sehwag and Warner.

But it pays for Deccan Chargers. Virender Sehwag slams the first ball down the ground for a boundary but is caught at covers by White off the next ball as he gets a thick outside edge trying to heave it on the leg side.

What a big strike for Deccan as Sehwag walks back after scoring just four.

Dhawan works his magic with the ball too.

David Warner is beaten off the next ball but he is beaten and the keeper misses too to give away four byes. Warner then cuts a short ball through point and slams the last ball of that over through the covers to make it three boundaries in a row.

Dhawan gives away 16 runs in that over.

- Scorecard

Deccan 187-4 (20 ovs) vs Delhi

What a turnaround by the Deccan batsmen! After the first ten overs they were 64 for two but in the next ten overs they hammered 123 runs courtesy of some superb hitting from Dhawan and White.

Delhi's bowling figures don't make pretty reading. Aaron was the best bowler for Delhi as he took two for 30 in four overs, while Morkel claimed one for 32. But the rest of the bowlers went for more than nine runs per over as the visitors struggled.

With an explosive batting line-up at their disposal no target is beyond Delhi Daredevils though! An interesting run chase on the cards in the second half of the match.
17:38   IPL: Dhawan, White hit 50s to lift Deccan to 187
- Scorecard

Deccan 187-4 (20 ovs) vs Delhi

Aaron to bowl the final over. He beats Duminy off the first two balls of that over with the second one a slower delivery down the leg side. The left-hander somehow manages to squeeze a single from the third ball to give the strike back to White.

But White falls off the very next ball as he top edges a pull shot and is caught by wicketkeeper Naman Ojha on the leg side. White is dismissed after a good innings of 65 from 40 balls to continue his good recent run in the tournament.

Duminy then lofts Aaron over the cover region for a boundary and the ends the innings with another boundary as he drives a full toss past Sehwag in the covers.

Deccan 178-3 (19 ovs) vs Delhi

Every bowler is going for runs now. Morkel suffered in his last over at the hands of Dhawan and he comes on to bowl his final over.

JP Duminy taps it on the off-side for one and Morkel follows that with a wide down the leg side.

White then flicks a full toss on the leg side for two runs and then plays the next ball, again a full toss, to square leg for one. He is disappointed at not having done more with those two full tosses.

Three more singles to end the over as Morkel gives away eight runs in his final over to finish with one for 32 in four overs.
17:26   IPL: Dhawan run out for 84, Deccan lose 3rd wicket

White chips the first ball over mid-off for one while Dhawan is beaten by the slower ball and is beaten outside the off-stump.

Against the run of play, Deccan lose the big wicket of Dhawan, who is run out after a scintillating innings of 84 from 49 balls. He tries for a quick second run but Nadeem's direct hit from deep square leg catches him well short of his ground.

But Dhawan's wicket doesn't affect Deccan a wee bit as White continues to attack. He lofts Pathan back over his head for a boundary and ends the over with a huge six as he lofts the last ball over long-on.

Dhawan and White put on 126 runs from 70 balls to put Deccan on top.

Pathan then hits Cameron White on the gloves as he gets the next ball to bounce a bit extra and come in sharply. That is a painful blow as White winces in pain and throws his bat away.

This time Pathan gets the ball to move away from the right-hander as White is beaten outside the off-stump.

However, Pathan errs with his line off the next ball, bowling it on the pads and White helps it round the corner to the fine leg region for a boundary. The Australian then pulls a short ball from Pathan through midwicket for another boundary.

Morkel to bowl the second over. And Harris gets lucky yet again as he gets a thick outside edge which flies over Sehwag at first slip for a boundary.

Deccan openers are struggling to keep the boundaries coming as Delhi's pacers are bowling on a good line and length, not giving the batsmen anything to work with.

And the pressure from Morkel pays off as Harris chips it straight to Mahela Jayawardene in the cover region after scoring 19 from 17 balls.

That was Morkel's 21st wicket of the tournament and he is now the highest wicket-taker in IPL5 ahead of Lasith Malinga (20 wickets).
