# Steyn's 13th five-wicket haul in Tests is his second against India.

# Steyn's tally of 74 wickets (ave. 20.01) in 13 Tests was the best by any bowler in the calendar year 2008. His tally had included five instances of five wickets in an innings and one instance of ten wickets in a Test.

# Steyn has produced seven five-wicket hauls in South Africa and six away from home.

# Steyn's figures at VCA Stadium, Jamtha are bettered only by Australia's Jason Krejza -- 8 for 215 in 2008-09. With four for 143 in second outing, he had became the only spinner to capture 12 wickets in a match against India in India.

# India lost their last six wickets for 12 runs from 221 for four to 233 -- their worst collapse against South Africa.

# Sehwag has scored 18 centuries in Test cricket -- 10 at home and eight away from home.
