That is the end of a valuable partnership.

He gets off the mark with a single and Kohli gets the winning run with a push to cover.

Hasaranga continues and Jadhav tries to play fine only for the 'keeper Dickwella to complete a good catch.

Jadhav gone for 63 off 73.

Nine needed and Kohli pulls Siriwardana's short delivery to long on for a boundary.

He then follows that up with a single.

Jadhav finishes the over with a single down to cover.

Dananjaya continues and the runs are coming with ease.

Jadhav takes a run to cover and that is the 100-run partnership between the two batsmen.

Siriwardana comes into the attack. Kohli gets a single two balls after a wide is bowled and he is now stuck on 99 going into the next over as Jadhav takes a single off the last ball of the over.

Malinga continues and Jadhav takes a single off the 2nd ball to get to his half-century.

Fernado continues and there seems no respite from the run scoring for the hosts.

Hasanranga brought back into the attack and Kohli plays him nicely down to the third man boundary.

The bowler fires in another short ball and Jadhav just dispatches it to the boundary. Nine runs come off that over.

With Kohli and Jadhav playing with ease, India look on course for a series clean sweep.

The Lankan bowlers have also been far from effective and that has compounded their problem.

Dananjaya and Pushpkumara have been particularly expensive and so captain brings medium pacer Fernando back into the attack.

Malinga bowls a little short and Pandey beats the man at mid-on for a boundary.

A slower ball and Pandey plays it to point for a single.

Manish Pandey is the new man at the crease and he gets off the mark with a single.

Fernando gets the wicket of Rohit.

He is sent back after Pushpakumara executes a brilliant catch at short fine leg.

Rohit is foxed by a slower delivery that he tries to paddle sweep but it can't escape a flying Pushpakumara.

India lose their first wicket.

India off to slow start here as neither batsmen has been given a chance to free their arms in the Powerplay.

Fernando continues and nearly has Rohit. He makes the batsman play and that is ever so close!

He then times the ball to the on side for a couple.

He gets the first boundary as Fernando bowls to his pads and the ball races to the fine leg boundary.

Malinga continues and makes Rahane fish for the ball. Nice shape there.

He finishes the over with a maiden.

Vishwa Fernando starts well and gives just three runs in his opening over.

India need a gettable 239 runs for victory as Malinga opens the bowling.

Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane open the Indian innings and the former gets off the mark with a couple off Malinga in the opening over.

There is a big shout as Rahane gets the ball plumb on his front pad.

Sri Lanka take the review and they lose the review as the ball is shown angling down the leg side.

He gets off the mark with a single.

Four runs come off that dramatic opening over.

Sri Lanka fail to play out their full 50 overs after losing wickets in a hurry in the last 10 overs.

They scored just 49 runs in the last 10 overs and losing their last 7 wickets for 53 runs.

Bhuvneshwar continues and Vishwa Fernando plays the ball straight down for a boundary.

Fernando plays a crazy swipe but the ball falls short of the man at deep fine leg.

Malinga plays the ball straight to KL Rahul at mid-wicket and that gives Bhuvneshwar a five-wicket haul.

Bumrah continues and the last pair finding it tough to send the ball long.

His accuracy cannot be challenged by the tailenders.

Buvneshwar gets his 4th wicket. It's a full toss and Siriwardana's 13-ball 18 run cameo comes to an end as he caught by Thakur at mid-wicket. Sri Lanka lose their 9th.

Two runs and a wicket in that over.

Sri Lanka losing wickets in a flurry here and 270 looked like a par score earlier but 250 also looks doubtful as the hosts lose the 8th wicket.

Bumrah sends Pushpakumara's wickets into all directions and the batsmen is sent back to the pavillion.

Bumrah brought back and the first ball, a slower delivery is sent for a huge six over deep square leg.

Bhuvneshwar is back in the attack and Siriwardana takes a six off him in the last ball of the over.

Sri Lanka lose their 7th as new man Dhananjaya is stumped by Dhoni and Chahal gets his first wicket.

That is Dhoni's 100th stumping in ODIs.

Chahal comes back into the attack and the Lankans finding it tough to dispatch the bowlers here.

Siriwanda and Hasaranga only dealing in singles here.

There is doom here for Lankans as Hasaranga takes a unnecessarily risky single and he is run out by miles.

New man to the crease, Hasaranga plays the wrong one down to third man and the ball races to the boundary.

He then runs two and Sri Lanka get to 200.

Angelo Mathews gone!

It's a soft dismissal. He tries to play the sweep only for the ball to scoop up into the air and handing an easy catch to Dhoni behind the stumps.

Kuldeep gets his first wicket to send Mathews out for 55.

Siriwardana gets what he wanted, he finishes the Bhuvneshwar over with a boundary through covers.

With 10 overs to go, Sri Lanka need to ensure that they accelerate the scoring in these Powerplay overs.

Mathews and Siriwardana can do that if they play with their heads on their shoulders.

Bumrah continues.

Siriwardana is the new man at the crease and starts his innings with a single.

Bumrah bowls a no ball and that is a free hit to Mathews. But Bumrah comes back with a beautiful yorker giving Mathews no room to free his arms.

Four runs come off that over.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes into the attack and gets a breaktrough.

Thirimanne tries to run the ball down to third man but he only manages to play the ball onto his stumps.

Bhuvneshwar does well to break the partnership worth 122 runs and send Thirimanne back for 67.

That four runs and a wicket in the over.

The Lankans have been consistent in taking off 4 and 5 runs off Chahal and Kuldeep.

Kohli brings on Bumrah who also gives four runs an over including a wide.

The 100-run partnership comes up for Sri Lanka as Mathews gets a run down to deep square leg.

Thirimanne takes on Kuldeep, comes down the wicket but only gets a run for his effort. 2 runs come off the over as drinks are called.

Jadhav continues and Thirimanne gets to his half-century off 83 balls.

It's a crucial innings given the circumstances he came to the crease.

Mathews comes down the track and dispatches the bowler through mid-on for a boundary after quite sometime.

That is 7 runs off the over.

Sri Lanka's run rate has fallen in the last few overs but the batsmen have done well to stitch up an 80-odd run partnership.

They look set for a par score of 26-270 and that should challenge the Indians.

For the first time in the innings Sri Lanka's run rate has slipped down to below 4 (3.43 after 27 overs).

Chahal again is stingy, giving away just three runs.

Mathews tries to go after Thakur, gets the leading edge but is lucky that the ball has fallen away from Jadhav and runs to the boundary.

Chahal continues and gives away just 2 runs again.

6 runs come off that Kuldeep over as the Lankans continue to keep the momentum going.

They are batting with minimal risk and getting the runs with utmost ease on a flat deck.

Kohli brings on his miracle man Kedar Jadhav to bowl his off spinners in search of wickets.

Nothing impressive as he gives away 5 runs.

Following the drinks, Kuldeep continues and gives 3 runs away.

The Lankans are also running well between the wickets, applying pressure on the Indian fielders.

Thirimanne and Mathews taking runs as when they come. They are challenged by Kuldeep Yadav but they are playing him well.

Sri Lanka have been quite since the loss of Tharanga but they have managed to keep the run rate above the 5 run mark.

Kuldeep Yadav comes in to the attack and a attacking field is set as 2 slips are in place.

15:51 Bumrah makes 3rd breakthrough

That is the end of the Powerplay and Sri Lanka have lost three wickets, even though they have a run rate of 6.4 an over it paints a lame picture for the hosts.

Bumrah gives 5 runs and gets a wicket in his opening over.

Mathews comes in to bat and he gets off the mark with a run to leg side, an inside edge sees the ball go to fine leg.

Bumrah does what he brought in to do. He gets the much-needed wicket of Tharanga, who gets the finest of edges to go through as Dhoni completes the catch to send the captain back to the pavillion.

Bumrah comes in first change and he starts with a short and wide ball. Tharanga picks it early and dispatches it for a boundary over mid-on.

Thirimanne takes 2 runs off Bhuvneshwar, who has kept the runs down.

50 comes up inside the 8th over as Thakur continues to gift him balls to tonk over the infield and the outfield.

Tharanga takes advantage of the bad balls, three fours in this over and from all parts of the ground. 17 runs come off the over and Thakur is proving an expensive bet for India right now.

Kohli takes a superb catch, running back to get rid of Munaweera for 4, who got off the mark just off the previous ball with a boundary.

Good catch there by the Indian captain as Bhuvneshwar gets his 2nd wicket.

Tharanga is in full flow here. He is finding the boundaries at will as Thakur and Bhuvneshwar face his wrath.

Thakur has not been particularly accurate against the left-hander and is getting the necessary treatment, while Munaweera is still to open his account.

Tharanga not deterred by that wicket and Thakur bowls short and wide and the Lanka dispatches the ball for another boundary through covers on the off side.

He then pulls the next ball and gets 2 runs for the effort.

New man Munaweera plays and misses.

Bhuvneshwar gets his first wicket of. He bowls a slower one, the ball just stops on Dickwella, who hands an easy return catch to the bowler.

14:49 Lanka make one change, India make 4

It's the 5th and final match of the ODI series and Sri Lanka have finally won the toss. Captain Upul Tharanga calls rightly and chooses to bat first.

India have made four changes to the playing XI while Sri Lanka have made just one change with Tharanga coming in for Kusal Mendis.

Rahane, Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kedar Jadhav find their way back into the Indian fold for this last ODI as India eye a series sweep.

The visitors whitewashed Sri Lanka 3-0 in the Test series, and given their dominant run on this trip, would like to complete a double by sweeping the ODI series as well.

Sri Lanka are in danger of losing a second successive ODI series to India by a 5-0 margin. The last time these two sides played a bilateral series in November 2014, a depleted Lankan side lost 5-0 in India.

Their fortunes haven't changed much since and another loss would be a serious body blow for the hosts in what has been a traumatic summer of cricket. They have already foregone the opportunity to automatically qualify for the 2019 ODI World Cup by failing to win two matches in this series.
