Labuschagne watchfully keeps put the last two balls to end the first over.

Mohammed Shami from the other end. He starts with a beauty, getting the full delivery to move away as Green looks to defend but is beaten and he does well to play out the rest of the over with caution.

Umesh provides India with the early breakthrough on Day 4. Labuschagne edges the outswinger pitched right up as he tries to defend and is caught by Cheteshwar Pujara at first slip.

That is a big wicket for India early in the day as Labuschagne walks back for 41, without adding to his overnight score.

Alex Carey gets off the mark with a four as he steers Umesh past the gully fielder and leaves the last ball.

India have a slight opening as Australia are reduced to 128/5, for an overall lead of 301 runs.

Aus 123-4 (44 ovs) & 469 vs Ind 296 | Scorecard

Welcome to the coverage of Day 4 of the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia at The Oval in London, on Saturday.

India will be aiming for a few early wickets on the penultimate day and keep their hopes alive, while Australia will be aiming to extend the lead and set their opponents a huge target.

Pat Cummins produced a vicious bowling onslaught to leave India battered and bruised as Australia took a 296-run lead on day three.

Australia's four-man pace attack claimed nine wickets between them to dismiss India for 296 in their first innings, with captain Cummins picking up three scalps.

Australia will resume day four on 123 for four in their second innings with Marnus Labuschagne batting on 41 along with Cameron Green on seven.

Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane top scored for India with 89 while Shardul Thakur survived being hit on the arm off successive Cummins deliveries to contribute 51.

The duo along with Ravindra Jadeja were the only three Indians to score more than 15 runs in what turned out to be a meek batting display by the world's top ranked team.
